We Are…

I was honored to be asked to put this video together for the ordination of a friend. I’ve long been an admirer of Dr. Ysaye Barnwell’s work, and I learned quickly that the rhythms and harmonies the Sweet Honey in the Rock flows through with such apparent ease prove to be a big vocal workout. This was an inspiring and educational project and I hope my tribute to this amazing composition serves to celebrate Dr. Barnwell’s gifts to our musical world.
